CONCEPT
Calibrated Privacy
The interior concept of Admiral M/Y Nono (now M/Y Safe Heaven) is founded on protection rather than display.
Spaces are conceived as controlled environments, where light, surfaces, and proportions are carefully moderated to create a sense of retreat, continuity, and quiet assurance.
Rather than opening indiscriminately to the exterior, the layout establishes a measured relationship with the sea. Views are framed, circulation is guided, and transitions are softened, allowing the interiors to function as a composed counterpoint to the surrounding maritime landscape.
The result is an atmosphere of deliberate calm, where architecture serves privacy, comfort, and permanence.
INTERIORS
Spatial Control and Continuity
The interiors are articulated through a disciplined architectural language, where walls, ceilings, and built-in furnishings operate as a continuous system.
Dark timber surfaces define the spatial envelope, creating depth and visual stability, while mirrored and glazed elements are introduced selectively to extend perception without fragmenting the environment.
Living areas are organised to encourage stillness and coherence rather than movement for its own sake. Seating, storage, and circulation align precisely, reinforcing a sense of order and spatial balance.
Private spaces follow the same logic, favouring enclosure, acoustic comfort, and visual restraint, with lighting integrated discreetly to support use rather than dominate the scene.
