CONCEPT
An Interior Framework for a Cultural Platform
Perini Navi ArtExplorer was conceived as a catamaran with a purpose that extends beyond navigation, envisaged as a floating platform dedicated to culture, research and collective experience. Her exceptional beam and multi-hull configuration generate spatial conditions that differ radically from conventional yachts, requiring an interior approach grounded in clarity, adaptability and structural logic.
Within this framework, CELI was responsible for the execution of the interiors, translating a non-traditional design intent into spaces capable of accommodating change, movement and intensive use. The concept demanded interiors that could remain coherent under constant transformation, prioritising function and spatial legibility over decorative hierarchy.
CELI’s contribution lies in giving architectural consistency to this vision, shaping interiors conceived as systems rather than scenes.
INTERIORS
Open Volumes and Functional Continuity
The interiors of Perini Navi ArtExplorer are defined by breadth, horizontality and openness. Large, uninterrupted spaces replace compartmentalised layouts, allowing circulation and use to develop freely across the main decks. Boundaries between areas are suggested through alignment and proportion rather than enclosure.
CELI executed fixed furnishings, wall systems and integrated architectural elements with an emphasis on robustness and precision. Joinery and built-in components are designed to support multiple functions, exhibition, gathering, work and rest, without imposing a single narrative on the space. This approach ensures flexibility while preserving order.
The interiors favour directness and legibility. Volumes are calm, surfaces are continuous, and the overall composition supports long-term occupation rather than episodic display.
